One of the pleasures of practice night is that the singing lead passes round the circle. In between shanties there is generally a pause for a sup of beer whilst the next man makes his choice. It is at these moments that the shanty men engage in deep philosphical reflections. Some of these musings have been captured for posterity and are available on this page.
